Description:
Real world use and torture test of the Orcatorch T20 tactical flashlight.

I am first of all impressed with the quality of the case they sent it with plus all the accessories. This flashlight comes packed in a hard shell case with foam lining similar to a pistol case. There is a belt sheath, lanyard, spare gaskets, a battery charge and two batteries in a case along with the flashlight itself.

Orcatorch went above and beyond quality when they put this package together.

The flashlight itself has defensive front and rear ends so that no matter which way you are holding it at the time, you can use this to defend yourself.

There is a very tough clip on the light for your shirt or belt.

There are two switches on this LED flashlight. One on the tail to turn it on or off and another on the front side to select the operating modes.

Press the tail switch to turn the light on or off. Then you can cycle through the four different lighting modes by pressing the side button. To get into flashing mode, long press the side switch. Another single press gets you into SOS mode. And another press gets you back into the last mode used.

The Orcatorch T20 flashlight has a memory function as well so it always turns on in the last mode you used. I love this fact because then I do not have to fumble around with buttons in an emergency situation. My normal viewers will know that out here in the country, this happens a lot. We have farm animals and it seems that everything in the forest wants to eat them.

I cannot be fumbling around with buttons when something is attacking our animals.

The fact that the Orcatorch comes with not one, but two batteries is also quite impressive. This is the very first time I have reviewed a flashlight with a spare battery.

The battery charger is fully automatic and can charge one or two batteries at a time. Now you will never go without power in your flashlight.

With 980 Lumens, this light really pierces into the night. The CREE XM-L2(U2) LED blasts a beam of light up to 281 meters into the darkness.

I love the fact that this light not only has a spotlight like function in the middle which cuts into the night but it also has a wide angle beam. This is so awesome because when you are running around in the night with a spotlight you cannot see anything around you. But with a combination spotlight and wide angle, you can see just about anything. I love it!!

To test out the water proof claim of IPX8 standard, I not only put it into the water, I tossed it out into a snow bank in the rain. I left it for 24 hours and then came back to it the next day to see how it would perform.

The light had sunken into the snow bank quite a bit and was fully soaked at this time. It was also quite frozen to touch. I pressed the power button and the light came on with no problem.

This light can handle extreme cold, snow and water with no problem. This is important in a tactical flashlight.
