It did get down to -20 degrees F as they predicted for our area the other night. Actually I have a photo on my phone of -27 degrees just a mile down the road. It was frigid cold out.

We had the cats in for the night to keep them safe from the extreme cold this night.

We had the propane furnace fired up as a backup and the wood stove burning hard. The furnace was on in case the fire went out or died down too low at night because we have to either stay by the wood stove and keep it burning or close it down for the night in order to have coals going in the morning.

But we made it through. I was worried that the car would not start in this intense cold but the battery gave what it could and the car started. It was close though.
