I am putting lights and a wiring harness on my old homemade trailer in order to get it ready for the road.

I plan to get this trailer going so I can use it to haul stuff on my own from now on. I had this trailer lighting system from HF for a couple years now. I had once purchased it on sale and I am happy now that I did.

This has all the lights you need for a trailer plus the wiring harness and all hardware including a license plate mount.

I bought two L brackets for shelves which I screwed to the side of the trailer for light mounts. This works very well and is quite stable. I am happy with the results.

I ran the wiring harness around the top of the trailer to keep it from snagging on things underneath. I have way too often seen trailer wires torn up from underneath due to hitting trees and branches. I will be hauling fire wood out of the forest with this often so it has to be built rugged.

I will secure the wires to the sides of the trailer using nail in wire fasteners like they use in homes.

I got everything nicely wired up and found a problem. My car has a different electrical system which will not work with the trailer wiring harness. I have to buy an adapter in order to connect my car to this trailer.

Next I will be putting fenders on my trailer.
