I am running a vintage Sears D-49 80cc chainsaw on my lumber mill with a brand new chain. This is real time footage of how it works now.

I was working this mill with a vintage Homelite SXL old blue 49cc chainsaw. It did the job but was very slow going. I was also using an old chain so the saw had to work harder.

I found this Sears 80cc chainsaw on the internet for sale and went on a 5 hour round trip to get it. The chainsaw mill cut better and faster but still was not as fast as I expected.

Next I got a brand new chain and tried it again. Now the mill is cutting a lot faster. With the old Homelite and old chain it was cutting a foot per minute. Now I am cutting 7 feet in 2.5 minutes and this log is thicker. This is a huge improvement.

I cut a couple slabs of wood off the log in real time to show you how it is working now.
