I got a new idea for putting all glass windows on my greenhouse roof faster and easier.

I ran strips of 1x4 lumber horizontally across the roof of the greenhouse. I spaced these boards so that the windows can drop right into place between them.

I left the top 18 inches open for a poly sheet which will be framed in and used as a window which can open and close to let summer heat out.

Next came the double pane windows I got a while back for free. These were followed by the single pane glass windows I bought a couple weeks ago.

With this new plan the windows drop right in with no worries about the rafters being old or twisted.

I plan to put caulk and trim on top of the windows to hold them in place and prevent water from getting underneath and rotting the wood.
