Description:
With the colder weather coming on our garden is starting to die off but we are still getting a nice amount of food from it.

We have been covering our garden every night for about two or three weeks now to protect our vegetables from freezing. We get frost just about every night now.

We lost our squash plants to powdery mildew and freezing nights so I go the last of the squash today.

Our green beans are still growing well and actually flowering so we have been harvesting a few beans now and then all season so far. We are still getting enough that they are worth saving from the frost.

We have a hybrid tomato plant giving us tiny Roma tomatoes along with cherry tomatoes on the same plant. This grew from seed from last year and we let it grow.

Our kale is still providing us with a lot of food. We have been harvesting kale all season and put a lot away in the freezer and dehydrated in the oven. We use the pilot light to dry our foods but that will be a video on its own one day soon.

We have a lot of potatoes yet but they are going to be harvested last when we have time to properly process them. They are fine for now under the soil until it starts to freeze hard and deep.

I got a lot of little orange cherry tomatoes from our second garden. It looks like the plants are dying though due to the cold nights. The tomatoes are falling off the vine so I am picking up most of them today. We have been eating them in salads all along.

I also got some nice bell peppers. Eight of them to be exact. And we got jalapeno peppers and banana peppers from our garden this year. We cook them as we harvest them. Melanie loves them in the stir fry at dinner time.

This was the first part of today's video so stay tuned for more.
