I keep cutting fire wood every day now and we are using the wood cook stove to prepare our meals and more.

I am picking away at the fire wood pile each day. I finished cutting the logs out back that I had brought home last fall. These were just over 6 feet long and a mix of hard and soft wood. I finally got them all cut into logs.

I am sorting them out into logs which fit our tiny house wood stove and those which need to be split. The pile to be split stays out back and the fire wood goes out front to be stacked.

I ran the antique wood cook stove all day again. I made a summer squash casserole using almost all fresh garden ingredients from our own homestead. We are still using garden produce from last year which we grew ourselves.

Michelle was there "helping out" the whole time and watching the kittens play.

Melanie whipped together some cake which I also baked in the wood cook stove oven. It turned out so good. And I baked some acorn squash seeds in the oven. Melanie washed and sorted them and I salted them and baked them in the wood stove. They turned out very good as well.

This old stove uses branches and twigs which I would normally toss out into the brush pile as too small for our tiny house wood stove. So this is using what I call free energy to cook our meals now.
