I built a roller skate wheel bedini radiant energy battery charger using all recycled parts.

The roller skate wheel was given to me many years ago in a package along with others. I think it was either just tinted from age or hardened. No matter, it was never used and it is a wheel with bearings.

The electronics come from an old Bedini motor I made long ago using printer and computer parts.

The three coils come from a laser printer and the other parts are most likely from that as well. I dont remember.

This was originally running with a hard drive motor that had magnets glued to it. But mice destroyed that and I kept the electronics all these years. This is a basic Bedini SSG (Simplified School Girl) motor, or radiant energy charger. This is also known as a pulse motor. A side effect of this device is that it desulfates lead acid batteries.

I took some scrap wood and made a base for the Bedini SSG motor. Some scrap pieces of wood made the feet. And another scrap made a side mount for the electronics.

I put a hole in the center for the wheel. I mounted that with a screw.

After locating the North poles of four round ceramic magnets I hot glued them to the roller skate wheel. I had previously cut some flat spaces to hold the magnets.

I put the coils around the wheel and connected the wires to see if I could get it to spin up.

Eventually, after swapping the power coil wires around, I had it running. But nothing was mounted so then I secured the coils in place using zip ties and holes through the base board. Now I can adjust the coils as needed.

A better screw held the wheel in place and it runs happily.

I am using a small 12 volt battery to power the device. Right now it is charging up an old car jump starter and power station.

This device did not like a digital meter so I connected an analog meter to monitor what was going on with the charge battery.

I tried to run this on a 6 volt battery but it ran very slowly and eventually came to a stop. I figure the bearings are too stiff. With time they will loosen up some and I think I can get it to run on a 6 volt battery with no problem.
