I put foam insulation in the dog house with vapor barrier and radiant foil. Then I installed paneling to protect that. On the roof I put on tar paper followed by metal roofing. This is one solid dog house built to last.I had some foam insulation left over from another project. It has vapor barrier on the outside and radiant foil on the inside. It was just enough to fully insulate the dog house. I cut the foam to fit tight and pressed it into place to allow the radiant foil to do its job. It need an air gap to work properly. Then I installed paneling inside to protect the insulation from harm.On the roof I added tar paper followed by metal roofing. I used wood trim to cover the sharp edges of the roofing. This is one solid and heavy dog house. I built it to last a very long time. The dog house sits on a pallet to keep it off the ground and protect it from rot. Thanks for watching. Description:
I put foam insulation in the dog house with vapor barrier and radiant foil. Then I installed paneling to protect that. On the roof I put on tar paper followed by metal roofing. This is one solid dog house built to last.

I had some foam insulation left over from another project. It has vapor barrier on the outside and radiant foil on the inside. It was just enough to fully insulate the dog house. I cut the foam to fit tight and pressed it into place to allow the radiant foil to do its job. It need an air gap to work properly.

Then I installed paneling inside to protect the insulation from harm.

On the roof I added tar paper followed by metal roofing. I used wood trim to cover the sharp edges of the roofing.

This is one solid and heavy dog house. I built it to last a very long time.

The dog house sits on a pallet to keep it off the ground and protect it from rot.
