Working with my Arduino on the Ubuntu Linux mini computer. I am moving more toward Linux these days and using the Arduino is one of the requirements I have for the operating system.
Since Windows 10 takes control of my computer at any given time of day or night, I cannot rely on it for work anymore. So I am running tests on a mini PC with Ubuntu installed on it.
Getting Aruino to run on the Ubuntu machine was important for me. The software installed easily enough but I could not connect to the Arduino itself.
I had to learn how to open up a port to allow the machines to communicate with one another. But this was also quite simple once I understood the problem.
I plan to start a video series with the Arduino right here on this channel. I am going to start with the basics and work my way up to building a robot arm myself and run it with the Arduino.
