I have a load of logs from the tree service that cost me $75. I am processing this into fire wood to see if this is a cheaper alternative for me to get fire wood compared to going into the woods and felling trees myself. The truck burns gas as well as the chainsaw when felling and delimbing trees. Then I have to cut them into logs and load them into the truck. Then I have to drive home again. It takes me about three hours per face cord to process fire wood this way, including driving time. But the trees are free.If I buy from the tree service it costs $75 for roughly 3 face cord. So they tell me. But I have to cut, split and stack this in order to know how much i am really getting. Then I can compare the cost in money and time between the two. Thanks for watching.
