This is my final review and field testing of a portable USB powered mosquito killer. This is perfect for off grid living, camping or tenting.
I used it in our off grid tiny house at first, which is powered by solar panels. We happen to have a solar powered charging station in our tiny home with USB outlets. And we have portable USB power packs which we use on the go or in other rooms of our solar tiny home.
I was getting one or two mosquitoes per night but this was not impressive video making materials.
I also used it in our popup camper for a couple nights but again, just a few bugs.
So I took the USB bug killer into the greenhouse, under the roof, but exposed to many insects at night. I used a portable USB power pack to run it and left it overnight.
The next morning the thing was loaded with dead bugs. There were a lot of moths but also about three mosquitoes in there. And they were dried up.
This device works by attracting them with a light and then a fan sucks them into the container below. The air flow keeps them trapped inside while drying out the bugs till they are dead.
