I finished the reclaimed lumber bandsaw box I started the other day. I made a pull knob for the drawer and put a couple coats of polyurethane on it.
My wood shop is fully off the grid and powered by two 400 watt solar panels. Six golf cart batteries store the energy which is then sent through a power inverter which can handle any of the power equipment in my wood shop.
I cut a piece of a dead tree branch from the woods and turned it down on my miniature wood lathe to make a drawer pull.
Then I sanded it nice and smooth.
Next I drilled a hole in the drawer and the pull knob to take a screw. I put the screw in through the inside of the drawer and threaded the knob onto it.
I then used some spray polyurethane to coat and protect the finished bandsaw box. It was humid outside so it takes me an entire day per coat. It will take a while before I am satisfied with the box.
But I wanted to get this video done to show you how the box looks for now.
I will be making these for sale using all reclaimed lumber and solar powered tools and equipment.
