Today we cover the rotor frame. This is the part which holds it all together.

Your Bedini motor rotor can be placed in either a horizontal or a vertical position. Either way will work just fine. Generally the amount of space you have available will decide which way is best for you.

The bicycle wheel can take up a lot of real estate on your work bench if placed in a horizontal position. On the other hand, you can place more coils around the rotor in this way so give it some thought.

My old lawn mower wheel Bedini SSG motor is placed in a horizontal - or flat - position. This is a smaller wheel and does not take up as much space on the table top.

The type and size of wheel you use for a rotor will also help in determining the position of the device.

Make your frame out of wood, plastic, plexiglass or other non magnetic material.

I have seen hard drive motors used as a rotor with magnets glued around the disks. This also works fine.

My first Bedini motor is the old lawn mower wheel. Originally I used a scrap piece of plywood with a hole in the middle. Then I simply put a bolt through the hole with two nuts to hold it in place. The wheel slid over the bolt.

I used it this way for years until I eventually built the box around it that you see today.

You can be creative and have fun with it.

But consider your future plans and uses for your own Bedini SSG.
